Wu Xing: The Five Elements

A tile laying game

By Simon Beal

Players: 2 / 15 - 20 mins / Ages: 12+

Objective:

Wu Xing (pronounced “woo shing”) is a head-to-head spatial tile laying game based on the five Chinese elements.

Players assume the roles of duelling mystics. Elements are created and destroyed using a five-way, dual layer rock-paper-scissors type system. Set up optimum placements whilst blocking your opponent from doing the same. Balance the yin and yang of strategic planning and tactical reactions to maximize points and win the game.
